Are All Hair Care Products the Same?

Can we say “yeah” for hair? Thank goodness we have the ability to grow beautiful hair.  However, have you thought about the ingredients? I know, you might be thinking, “Well, my hair feels clean, it shines, it basically does everything I want it to do”, but at what cost? Could there be ingredients that could be harmful to you; to my family?  You’d be surprised! Why is it that industries, come out with a product, advertise it, and sale millions, if not billions of products, then, as you are watching your favorite television show, you see a commercial advertise that a company has been served papers, a lawsuit, stating that the product caused some major health issues, that resulted in a class action lawsuit?  Or, you’ve been watching the news, and a report states that a company, knowingly, placed harmful ingredients in a product that they have been selling for years? Whether you realize it or not, a lot of manufactures have been using products that are unhealthy, harmful, and could have long-term effects on our bodies. As a person who has worked for major corporations, and understand the process of providing a product in mass to consumers, there is a vast amount of information that companies don’t want you to know so they can make a huge profit despite of the damaging side effects; it is more profitable to provide a product, of cheap quality, and reap the benefits of unsuspecting consumers, than to offer a higher-end quality product that will be an healthier alternative, which will minimize the potential of a lawsuits, and eliminate the possibly of medical issues, that can be ongoing. In the article, I will go over several ingredients that are in your average hair care products, and the side effects that industries have known for decades, but continue to use them.

I love having hair, don’t you?  I think we all do. Understanding that there are some health issues that might enable one’s ability to produce hair, the majority who can and do have options, an alternative.  You’ve been using the same hair care products for years, or you are a person that likes to try different products, or maybe you just haven’t found the right product for you.  Either way, while you are using or trying products, companies are hoping that you don’t read the label. They are hoping that you are not one of the many that will develop some type of medical issue such as, blistering or hives, or that the ingredients that are being used doesn’t spread to your organs such as, the brain, the lung, or the liver, causing irritation, or even manifest into producing cancer.  Now, wouldn’t you think that even if they didn’t realize it at the time, that the ingredients that they are using, could cause medical issues, that they would address the issue, and use an alternative ingredient that minimizes the risk?  Most the time, not. In today’s growing technology, more than ever, there are better options, better choices to choose from, other than the same old products that have been around for decades, that choose not to change with the time, who choose not to stay updated with the times, and choose not to improve their products for the millions of dedicated consumers, that have use their products, regularly, and fail to warn or care enough about their health.

As stated above, there are better alternatives, but keep in mind there is no product that is 100% free of all and any type of negative side effects but, they can be at a bare minimum. This article is just to make you aware of the known negative ingredients, and the alternatives that you have in choosing what you want on and in your body.  It would be nice for products to have a label that stated, “use at your own risk”, because that’s exactly what the manufactures are thinking. I wonder if they would use the products themselves? Hmm?  Nevertheless, this is the reason for such blogs as this one, to inform and educate so you can have control over your life, rather than to leave it up to a corporation to decide what is best for you, when they don’t have your best interest in mind, but they have the best wallet in mind.  Below, you will find ingredients and articles that are known to be harmful to your health.
